I'm a Simpsons old-schooler, and the notion of this movie (I can't believe I haven't addressed it at all yet) makes me want to jump for joy/puke my brains out. Either way, I remain an intensely devoted and much-absorbed fanatic, and I will go see it.
I may even pay to go see it.

The official-issue avatar me possesses loads of goofy charm that I completely lack (i.e., it's a Simpson), but I didn't get any leeway on the shirt-pants-shoes combo and couldn't find my real haircolor.

My love for the Simpsons institution means I owe it to them to suspend my skepticism over the new face of the Simpsons, the risky "we're finally doing the movie" move, and the clever marketing swamp.

This is one of those extremely rare instances where I'm unambivalently and unabashedly square in the middle of a product's crazed niche audience, and I'm just gonna wade right into it. Or in other words, "Mmm... virtual donut..."
